George Clinton, Miles Davis, etc. Stated this was the most innovative, exciting album of their time. I say it changed music for ever. Strong, dark, and stated the voice for the little man. Just something that says you are inside yourself and you are outside of time. Just speak and "someone" will hear you. Outstanding Album

This is THE summer album. It has no rival. Listen to this album on a very humid 90-100 degree day with no air conditioning and you'll feel it.

Dark, brooding, BRILLIANT!

A great album to listen to on headphones.

Man you can just feel Sly's pain. The man was a mixed bag of conflicting emotions, high-low, outgoing-reclusive, loving-hating, reaching out-pulling back. It's all here, out in the open, one man's journal of dripping narcissism, vulnerability, and a deep understanding of the core of the human spirit.

This album is addicting, it is the heroin of music, and you feel that ate-up burned out feeling when it is all over..only to hit play and do it all over again.
